Dear Supporters,
The importance for education is more important than ever. Because of COVID-19 we’re facing unprecedented times and the changes to daily life will be an adjustment for everyone not only in India but globally too.
In India 71% of adults do not have upper secondary education. Even among younger adults, 70% of women have not attained upper secondary education, compared to 58% of men. Contributing towards the United nations SDG’s number 4 ‘Quality Education’ and number 5 ‘Gender Equality’ the GVI Trust has supported a number of students by providing them with scholarships to Auxilium school where they may not have had the opportunity to complete their schooling at a high quality.
With COVID-19 on the rise, it has been announced in India that they are struggling to contain the virus so the GVI Trust are looking to set up support in the next 6-12 months to communities and projects in India. At the moment our team is busy fundraising to assist with these initiatives for the future.
