2022/2023 OVCs PERFORMANCE REPORT

Introduction

To ensure the evolution of assisted children, children assisted thanks to the support of GlobalGiving, EFA Cameroon assigned a staff member to follow up 20 assisted OVCs (Orphans and Vulnerable Children). The follow-up resulted in the following:

-          ABEPSA  (Maroua) 3 girls assisted and 2 admitted

-          ASSYSGOD (Godola) 3 assisted ( 2 girls and 1 boy) and 2 admitted

-          AJEPSMA (Maroua) 3 assisted ( 2 girls and 1 boy) and 2 admitted

-          AJEPSMO (Mokolo) 5 assisted ( 4 girls and 1 boy) and 3 admitted

-          Community (Maroua) 6 assisted ( 3 girls and 3 boys) and 3 admitted

Overall, out of out of the 20 pupils assisted in school needs, 13 pupils got admitted to higher grades. Girls’ education was privileged in order to contribute to gender equality in the region.

Testimony                                                                                                                  

The young physically challenged member of the group got admitted to form 3 and his parents expressed gratitude to EFA Cameroon for the efforts deployed by GlobalGiving every year to assist the less privileged and urged them to continue to do more to facilitate their access to quality education.

 

There was 65% success (07 girls and 06 boys) and EFA Cameroon team is grateful to GlobalGiving while looking forward to best results at the end of the 2023/2024 school. The promotion of girls’ education shall still be emphasized in order to help them develop their full potential through quality education.
