Grow brighter futures for 360 Guatemalan children

Our Planting Seeds students are happy and excited to attend school every day! Our child-centered and play-based approach makes learning enjoyable. Here are some recent highlights from our preschools:

• In February, we celebrated love and friendship. We love seeing our students become friends in the classroom. Friendships in early childhood create a sense of belonging, love, and caring for one another while fostering important social and emotional skills. Our students expressed appreciation for their classmates and teachers through games and activities.

• At the start of March, we held our first teacher training workshop of the year in our San Lucas Preschool. Forty-six teachers attended. Throughout the 1-day workshop, they practiced how to establish routines and manage transitions in the classroom. They also learned more about how to provide personalized attention to meet the needs of each student.

By prioritizing fun and playful learning, we encourage creativity and curiosity. Learning through play lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Every day in our classrooms and playgrounds, we witness the magic of play. Whether playing with sand and water, pretending to be future professionals in the role-play center, making art, or reading books, each moment offers Planting Seeds' students opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
