The Puntacana Cultural Center seeks to investigate, explore and share the unique cultural and naturalist history of the Dominican Republic, which has rich culture, traditions, music, dance, art, cuisine, and biodiversity. Despite the arrival of millions of foreign visitors to the Punta Cana region annually, they have few opportunities to explore this. Puntacana Cultural Center will create experiences and events sharing this culture.
The Punta Cana region hosts millions of foreign visitors annually, yet most have few opportunities to explore the country's history, culture, and biological diversity. This limits visitors' understanding of local customs, culture, and traditions and misses an opportunity to create a lasting and profound cultural interchange between Dominicans and visitors from around the world.
The Puntacana Cultural Center seeks to investigate, explore and share the unique cultural and naturalist history of the Dominican Republic. The Center will serve as a catalyst for cultural promotion and the generation of artistic expressions of the community by organizing events, exhibitions, educational programs and diverse programmatic activities both for the local community of Punta Cana, as well as visitors from around the world.
This project seeks to link with millions of foreign visitors annually and provide opportunities for enriched understanding, empathy, and connection between diverse cultures. This will provide the long-term benefit of greater inclusion, acceptance of different backgrounds and a form of connection that will provide economic as well as cultural benefits to locals and visitors, thus accelerating the development of non-formal education in the area as a contribution to the sustainability of tourism.
