I'd like to begin by highlighting the start of the year 2024, marked by significant activity.
We're in the final stages of refining the architectural proposal, and we anticipate having the definitive design by the end of the month to kick off the construction process.
In a notable development, we're excited to announce that the permanent exhibition hall will now feature two distinct sections: one dedicated to everyday life and the other to history. The latter will adopt a less interpretative approach, focusing more on direct exhibition. The Everyday Life Hall is advancing into its second phase of development, while for the new History Hall, we are in collaboration with five specialists in various aspects of Dominican history. They will play a key role in shaping the content and focus of the exhibition.
Given that we operate as a Cultural Center rather than a museum, we lack a dedicated collection to furnish both sections. Consequently, we have initiated contact with various institutions and private collectors to identify which artifacts and objects might be available, as loan, for the permanent exhibition hall.
