Challenge

The poor families that we have identified, can barely afford to buy a full nutritious meal one time a day , let alone buy meat every month. For many Eid ul Adha is the only time they ate meat in the entire year. The situation has been worsened due to the pandemic. Where family incomes have dwindled to the lowest levels. Due to this the people, especially children are malnourished as meat is an important component of a healthy diet.

Solution

Many muslims settled in non Muslim countries cannot give a third of their Qurbani meat to the poor in the streets. That is why DDEF collects financial contributions, enabling Muslims to donate their Qurbani to benefit those most in need. With the donations collected online, it will help your brothers and sisters in Bangladesh enjoy the festibal of Eid ul Adha in comfort. Through our initiative we would provide fresh and healthy hygienically meat packets to 300 selected families in Barguna.

Long-Term Impact

Your donations don't only provide food on tables for a few days , but they will be able to keep themselves safe by not going to crowded places to collect meat during a pandemic. When a famiy receives Qurbani meat through DDEF, they are reminded that someone in the Ummah is thinking of them and they do not lose hope in humanity . Over all health will improve as these people will consume good meat for a few days.
