Pakistan is going through a very rough time right now. Imran Khan, former PM and Chairman PTI, has been arrested and the streets are not safe as many citizens feel this is unjust and he is in danger, so there are street protests. The wifi and to some degree cellular is off. The country needs to breathe and distractions from problems and danger. Young girls are feeling confused. Schools are canceled for the moment and news is quite filtered. They don't know how to feel safe when they cannot even talk to a friend on the phone, let alone visit their neighbour.
There are enough challenges for young girls in the world, and especially in Pakistan, that color of skin should definitely not be one. Yet, it still persists. In who is favoured with not yet opportunities, but often with love, even disturbingly sometimes from parents. This Colorism needs to stop. Your funds are going towards activities to combat this very ugly, painful and toxic Colorism. Please spread the word and continue to give. Thank you!
