Like most Palestinians across the West Bank and Gaza Strip, residents of Aida Refugee Camp in Bethlehem are spending Ramadan at home uncertain about their future. The deterioration of the economic condition due to COVID-19 has effected refugee families disproportionately, especially those with disabled children and those who live off a daily wage. Our Ramadan Food Bank campaign aims to distribute 500 food boxes to support these families during Ramadan and beyond.
As Israel rolls out one of the fastest COVID-19 vaccination program in the world, Palestinians are being left behind. Not only are we victims to medical apartheid but to the devastating economical effects too. Families with disabled children as well as those who live off a daily wage are left unable to afford the essentials such as food and medicine. Most of them depend on donations and charity to secure their basic needs. With Ramadan fast approaching we want to ensure no one has to fast hunger
To support our community during this difficult time, we've merged our annual Ramadan and Iftar campaigns to provide essentials such as food and medicine to 500 families. With Ramadan just a few months away we want to ensure no one goes to sleep on an empty stomach. No matter how small a donation you can spare, it will make a huge difference.
