Millions of people worldwide struggle to meet basic needs because of war, disasters, and poverty. This raises the risk of acute malnutrition, especially among young children and pregnant or breastfeeding women. As a result, preventable diseases, developmental issues and mortality increase. Limited healthcare access makes treating nutrition-related illnesses harder. In fragile regions, shortages of shelter, food, and healthcare worsen conditions and deepen hardship for families and communities.
Within the scope of the project, nutritional health services and zakat-based humanitarian aid will be carried out together in regions where severe hunger and poverty are widespread. Medical nutrition treatment will be provided for children under five who are at risk of malnutrition, as well as for pregnant and breastfeeding women. At the same time, food parcels and emergency assistance will be delivered to families who cannot meet their basic needs through zakat, fitrah, and fidya contributions.
The project aims to prevent growth and developmental delays in children through medical nutrition treatment and healthcare services. It also seeks to protect the well-being of pregnant and breastfeeding women. Zakat-based support will strengthen families' access to food and medical care, helping communities become more resilient in times of crisis. This integrated approach is expected to sustainably improve living conditions while contributing to the regional health system.
