Severe flooding recently affected vulnerable communities, displacing families, destroying homes, damaging farmland, and disrupting livelihoods. The floods significantly impacted food security, agricultural production, and access to basic services. In response, our organization developed a comprehensive flood response project aimed at supporting the most affected households.
The proposed intervention targeted vulnerable families with emergency food assistance, agricultural seeds, and essential non-food items (NFIs) to help them recover and prepare for the upcoming rainy season.
Project status
Unfortunately, the project did not materialize due to a lack of funding and insufficient donor support at the time of the emergency. Despite submitting proposals and reaching out to potential partners, we were unable to secure the necessary financial resources to implement the planned activities.
As a result, the affected communities did not receive the urgently needed assistance.
Although the initial flood response project did not materialize due to funding constraints, the needs remain urgent. Immediate resource mobilization is critical to prevent further deterioration of living conditions and to prepare affected households for the upcoming rainy season.
We remain committed to supporting these vulnerable communities and are actively seeking partnerships and funding to implement this lifesaving intervention.
