In Masaka, Nasarawa State, 427 displaced Christian families from Borno State have been resettled on bare land with zero government aid after fleeing Boko Haram violence. Families survive through small-scale farming but lack mobility such as motorcycle, quality seedlings, insecticides and funds for hired labour. With your help, they can rebuild their lives, feed their families, and learn farming skills to create stable livelihoods.
Displaced families in Masaka have only their land and will to farm, but not the means to succeed. Without proper inputs, tools, or transport, their harvests are too small. This leaves them hungry and without income, forcing children to work or wander instead of going to school. Their potential is trapped by a lack of basic resources.
We will provide the exact resources the community asked for: motorcycles for transport, quality seeds, insecticides, and funds for farm help. This direct support will let them grow more food, sell surplus at market, and earn an income. We will also set up a community plot where young people can learn farming skills.
Your gift will help build a community that can feed itself and generate income for years. Better harvests mean parents can pay school fees, keeping children in class. The farming knowledge and community assets we create together will break the cycle of poverty and give a generation the skills to build a peaceful, productive life.
