Goal surpassed - THANK YOU!

It was only about a week ago that we sent you the latest quarterly report for "Rebuilding Schools in Nepal." We told you at that time about our plans for the coming months, including the construction of new classrooms at six schools.

Thanks to your generosity on Giving Tuesday (November 29th) and the days immediately thereafter, our $25,000 goal for this project has not only been met - it has been surpassed! Heartfelt thanks to ALL of you for your support for this project, which was launched immediately after the spring 2015 earthquakes.

School improvements are among the work ETC does each year. In fact, prior to the quakes, we already had a school-related GlobalGiving project up and running. You can find it at this link. However, because of the quakes, there is still so much more to be done than had been imagined when we began our partnership with 29 schools in Lapilang, Lamidanda, and Babare Village Development Committees in mid-2014. We chose to launch a new project (i.e., the one for which you're receiving this final report) instead of merely increasing the dollar goal of the pre-existing project because the former course of action made it easier to reach out to more potential supporters and to become eligible for other special grant opportunities.

The more than 4,000 students enrolled in these 29 schools truly deserve the best possible environments in which to learn, grow, and thrive. ETC is committed - with the support of great friends like you - to doing as much as we can to make that possible. We'll be running our other school-related project until it is fully funded (it's a little more than one-third of the way to goal at present), and we'll be very grateful for your continued support through that project if you are able and willing to do so.

As always, thank you very much for your interest in our important work to benefit children in rural Nepal.
