Finally, 5 years later, Arquata del Tronto is slowly coming back to the life she had before the devastating earthquake that hit Center Italy. This important result spurred us to keep working in order to bring life and people back in this area: agriculture, handcraft, industry and tourism still need a stimulus to take off again.
With this ambitious goal in mind, “Arquata Riparte” (Arquata takes off again) is going to be launched soon. We are building a network of activities, firms and projects in Arquata and the surrounding area, among all the stakeholders involved in this new adventure. It’s more than a project: it’s a journey through history, love and passion for a land willing to live and enjoy life again after the earthquake and the pandemic.
There is Polisia, who runs his bar “Nel Regno della Sibilla” (In Sibilla’s Kingdom), who offers typical products of the area and works since 1960. Her bar is more than a shop where you can get breakfast or lunch: it’s a magical place where it’s possible to taste the best gastronomy products, with excellent food and wine.
There are Mario and Franca, with their goose farming since 2017. There is AgriArquata, an agricultural cooperative where you can buy online typical products of the region, with a unique taste and flavor.
We want to give them a new prospect, a new opportunity to work and a second chance to do what they love: a job that deals with the beauty and the uniqueness of their land, their wine and their food.
