Have you thought of how children feel whilst watching adults drinking? It can lead the child feel vulnerable and the change that they see in adult behavior can feel confusing and at its worst even threatening.
International Blue across campaigns this Christmas to encourage everybody to reflect on the harm that alcohol may cause even unintentionally to children. We keep following and we are actively involved in the latest developments regarding good alcohol policy to protect young people from alcohol related harm and support companies to consider their alcohol policies. Through looking after the adult population at work place we can reach grown ups and give them a chance to reflect on their alcohol use. By early intervention we can prevent much harm that would otherwise be experienced at families. During this autumn International Blue across has taken part on European Alcohol Policy Conference and organized a week of meetings at International Blue Cross General Assembly. At the GA held in Madagascar we had the opportunity to build the capacity of our 41 member countries from Africa, Latin America, India and Europe and share the latest developments in our countries. We can continue this work thanks to your support. We wish you a wonderful Christmas time and look forward to reporting again in the New Year.
