BE ENRICHED'S 2021 LOCKDOWN DELIVERIES CAMPAIGN
By Helen Bird | Volunteer anager
With the announcement of another London-wide Lockdown in early January, and swiftly following on from our massive Christmas Dinner mobilisation, our Graveney Canteen operation and Volunteers have hardly skipped a beat!
Once again, we are making weekly home deliveries of nutritious hot meals and essential groceries to Wandsworth residents and helping to support everyone who's staying safe by staying at home.
With your help we can:
- keep recruiting Volunteers to prepare and deliver weekly food parcels
- purchase the necessary supplies, including extra cleaning supplies, takeaway containers and bags, as well as any additional food that we might need to meet extra demand.

COVID-19 Response
By Elizabeth Prohasky | Partnerships Manager
An example of a food parcel
We hope this message finds you well! As you are aware, we are facing unprecedented times with the COVID-19 outbreak. We've had to completely shift our operations from our community canteens to a weekly hot food and food parcel delivery service in order to keep serving our community of vulnerable and socially isolated individuals and families.
We've been bringing a food basket and cooked food to over 200 people a week over the past 2 months. Our food baskets contain cooked food, fresh fruit and veg, milk, eggs and when we had it, toliet paper!
We also keep in touch with them by checking in over the phone to see how they are doing and offer a chat. We are always looking for new ways to brighten their day, and are signposting them to any other mental health services that may be available to them if needed. Many elderly people have called us a life line and have said that they've never felt so looked after.
We thank you again for your support and we'll continue to serve our community as much as we can. Hoping we all come out the other end safe and sound.

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas
By Be Enriched Graveney | Canteen Leader
Thank you everyone who donated to the cause this season. We held 6 Christmas themed lunches and dinners over the fortnight and cooked 170 meals.
It was the best christmas yet! Songs were sang, christmas chicken, turkey and nut roasts were cooked, crakers were pulled. Santa passed by and delivered presents and everyone left with a bag full of food to feed them over the next few weeks.
At Be Enriched we are mindlful that there will be some big challenges ahead. Times do not look like they're going to get easier for the people that we support and we hope we can continue to support them. As the need is growing our plans are also growing. Follow us on twitter @be_enriched to find out more.
In the meantime Seasons Greetings and Happy Holidays!
