The primary objective of this intervention is to plant over 3000 trees in 5 communities in Ellembelle district that were affected by heavy mining activities. The intervention is to also reverse some of the more severe impacts of forest loss and degradation on the five communities in the Ellembelle district .These communities have been affected with land degradation by mining and sand wining operators.
The problem will be solved by covering all pit dug out with the use of a caterpillar and planting trees to check erosion and to solve issues pertaining to climate change and global warming
Severe impacts of forest loss and degradation on the five communities in the Ellembelle district by providing secure access for local people to a range of forest products, including fuel wood and non-timber forest products; improved hydro logical regulation and nutrient cycling; providing more diverse and better connected habitats, thus supporting more biological diversity; and options to increase the resilience and adaptability of existing agricultural systems
