In Ukraine, we support several grassroots organisations operating in the country and on its borders by sending them shipments of humanitarian aid and procuring the necessary items to assist those affected by the war. Distribute Aid helps European grassroots refugee aid groups support over 100,000 asylum seekers. We assist with every point in the supply chain: assessing needs, gathering supplies at home or from in-kind donors, coordinating shipments, and advising on distributions.
Since Russia's war in Ukraine began, millions of Ukrainians have been displaced internally and internationally. In total, over 8 million Ukrainian refugees are displaced in Europe. The war is ongoing, and millions are still in need of essential support for their survival, as well as materials for rebuilding damaged structures.
Distribute Aid works closely with community-based organisations in Ukraine who report on the needs of the people they support. Distribute Aid has an international network of donors, for whom we organise shipments and aid matching to ensure these needs are met. Having a reliable flow of aid means these community groups can plan for the future.
By supporting locally run groups in Ukraine, we are able to help empower them to be at the centre of decision-making for the future of Ukraine and its rebuilding. By supporting community centres, educational projects, and construction projects, Ukrainians can work towards both their immediate needs and a strong future.
