This project will help 150 vulnerable street-connected children in Sana'a return to school and rebuild their lives. SYS will provide one year of school fees, uniforms, shoes, learning materials, nutritious meals, and psychosocial support, while raising community awareness of child protection, education, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Years of conflict, displacement, and extreme poverty have forced many Yemeni children out of school and onto the streets to work or beg for survival. Exposed to hunger, violence, exploitation, and trauma, these children risk losing their education, safety, and hope for a better future.
SYS will help 150 vulnerable street-connected children return to school by covering school fees and providing uniforms, learning materials, nutritious meals, and psychosocial support. The project will also engage families and communities to strengthen child protection, prevent exploitation, and reduce school dropout.
The project will provide 150 poor homeless street children with high psychological, social, and educational services for a full year. Besides, it will protect 150 from vagrancy, delinquency, and immoral exploitation. It will improve the family status of those children. Moreover, this project will raise awareness of the importance of childhood to 10,000 families in the targeted districts in Sana'a. SYS Organization plans to make this project sustainable by engaging local authorities and NGOs.
