Dear Donors,
We are grateful for your continued support towards children with disabilities in Uganda’s slum communities. Your contribution has allowed us to reach some of the most vulnerable children and families, and we would like to share an update on their situation.
Children with disabilities in the slums continue to face challenges such as poor living conditions, limited access to education, inadequate health care, and stigma from the community. Many parents are unable to afford specialized care, and as a result, children often miss out on opportunities for proper growth and development.
Through your support, we have been able to provide educational assistance, basic health interventions, and psychosocial support. We have also engaged caregivers to raise awareness and reduce stigma, while encouraging inclusive practices in the community. These efforts have created noticeable improvements in the children’s confidence, school attendance, and overall well-being.
However, the needs remain notable. Many children still require mobility aids, therapy, and inclusive education opportunities to help them live with dignity. Your support continues to play a vital role in giving these children hope and a brighter future.
Thank you for standing with us in this journey of transforming lives.
