At-Risk Youth Education Sponsorship Program

Dear friends,

I hope you are doing well and staying in good health with your loved ones wherever you might be across our global village! 

Les Enfants de Dieu (EDD)   in partnership with GlobalGiving are thrilled to keep you posted about the impact we have making together in our program of education sponsorship for former street children.

It is a progressive report that regards our project of Education Sponsoring program for 200 students who are studying in different education levels, namely primary, secondary school, and vocational training,(Primary: 43 students, Secondary: 153students and Vocational Training: 4 students). With your support we have been able to pay the school fees and scholastic materials for all our beneficiaries and they were able to go to their respective schools with confidence and courage to pursue their studies enthusiastically.

Now, in mid-July all the students have come back in end academic holidays which will last almost for two months, and we are very grateful for your support and the life impacts we are making together through this education project, and the impact you are making is really not only for these children and youth but also for their families where they live and their community at large, as we are aspire them to become the agent of changes in their respective communities.

Holiday’s programs

On 7^th August we EDD organized mentorship and career guidance for the children and youths enrolled in our education sponsorship program, where one of the our alumni gave them session on how to make right choice in life based on knowing their sense of worthy as their backgrounds involved so much that devalued them thus making them perceive themselves as being of less importance so it was necessary to remind them how much they are valued so that they are enabled to face life challenges with optimism and confidence to overcome them by making choices worth their value.

Another session was conducted by the Executive Director-Charles on how right discipline plays a major role in life where our beneficiaries were challenged to behave appropriately at their respective schools and communities at large.

In June, five boys who were studying vocational training successfully graduated and now they are ready for job market
