Empower Develop Dignify-EDD takes this moment to report ongoing progress made in education sponsorship of alumni students who have been under rehabilitation in past years.
EDD appreciates the contribution of each individual who donated their money into the youth and children who are under this education program, EDD can hesitate to appreciate the support of GlobalGiving in the process where they enjoyed the globalgiving platform and their assistance in the process of raising funds.
This school term EDD managed to pay all required school fees, materials and others.We paid school fees and materials for 172 in total, 31 students in primary schools, 139 students in secondary and 2 in vocational training. Some students are day scholar students, others are students who study in boarding schools where boarding students are required to pay not only school fees plus school feeding, accommodation ,hygienic materials and others.
All the list of things mentioned above are paid by donations we receive on this platform from all you guys. For example, the 2nd School term started January-March 2023, EDD paid 6,300,000rwf equal to nearly $6300 which required the hands of many people in order to achieve it.
Eric Story : I am Eric, i am 23 years old, i am studying in high school senor 6 which mean that i will complete my high school studies this July 2023 in Teacher Training College , I can't have enough words to express my feeling about all support given by EDD and made me reach where i am today! I have only a mum who raised us in difficult conditions then later made me and my young brother experience street life. On the street we had no hope of a better future till we got a chance to join EDD. We stayed at EDD for about four years then we were reintegrated back into our families and continued to benefit from school education sponsorship. After reintegration, the journey was not easy but it was possible because of working and getting boarding schools and EDD pay for all school needed. I take this moment to thank EDD and its donors for their generosity in investing in me.
