Empower Develop DignifyEDD) in partnership GlobalGiving are excited to share the progress and updates of our education support given to youth ( former street children ) who are studying at different levels.
Currently, we have around 34 students in total where 2 students are studying in primary but one out of two finished that level this school year end, 32 students are in high school where 4 students are finishing High school and 12 students will finish next year.
05 July 2024 , we closed the school academic year where we reached the end with praise and happiness for the success of paying all school fees , school feeding, school materials and transports to the students who need them. We are glad that students successfully performed their duties by studying and passing all required tests and exams.
Charles , myself who meets the students very often, I am proud of seeing all students studying sirius and working hard to complete their studies. back year , we had cases of students dropping out but we are glad the remaining students are ready to complete their studies. I am calling you to join us in making those students reach their plans.
Story case: Emma, i can't tell you how i am so happy for reaching to the end of my high schools! It was a long journey of studying and working hard in study life. I started my school while I was at EDD after street life. The journey was too long. I studied 5 years when I was still at EDD then in 2018 I was reintegrated in my family and continued the journey of a school with the support of EDD. This year , i am currently doing national exam. I can say march about the result since I am still doing national exams but depending on how I study, I am sure I will pass and get a diploma even though my ambitions don't limit to a diploma as I am expecting to pass with a great maxx and get a government scholarship. I can't stop thanking EDD, all the people who contributed to me so that I could reach this stage. God bless you.
Dear EDD family , the journey made it clear that we need everyone's help so that we can build a better future for those young men who find themselves in challenging life but made a choice to make a better decision and build a better future.
