GREAT THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!
For the students of Patan CBR, picnic day is the most looked forward to and happy day of the year. It allows children with disabilities to go on an outing with their closest friends and family. This year’s picnic which was held on May 4 at shree pancha maha laxmi temple. This place was religious place with natural beauty. We planned this event primarily to travel at new area to explore religious place and share amazing experiences with children. This religious place dedicated to Goddess laxmi, goddess of wealth.
All CBR members including parents, children with disabilities, staff, volunteers and board members were welcomed to attend the picnic. To facilitate bus travel from near stop two buses were scheduled for that day. We gather together and start our journey. We reached there at 10 am. Our catering team were already there and made our breakfast ready. After reaching at our destination we all gather together and we introduce our self to each other and had breakfast. We split off into two groups after lunch and visited the Shree Pancha Maha Laxmi Temple. It is primarily made of steel and concrete and was built recently. Both inside and outdoors, it was stunning. Statues and gardens were present. It features a small cave with the primary picture of Lord Baraha, one of Lord Bishnu's avatars, Saraswoti Ganesh, and several other gods and goddesses. This is a popular tourist destination that is designed with Hindus and tourists in mind. We visited the most gorgeous location known as Sheesh Mahal after touring the cave. The interior of this seemingly ordinary temple was constructed using mirrors. It cost Rs. 100 to enter the shrine and gufa. Because of the hills that encircle it, nature lovers frequent this location. Our staff is likewise quite happy and thoroughly enjoys every time spent in this sanctuary. In the main temple, religious people read passages from the Bhagavat Geeta. Following our visit to the Shree Pancha Maha Laxmi Temple, we returned home. We discussed how we felt and what we experienced when we visited the Gufa Sheesh Mahal temple. We then munched on some munchies.
After returning to our picnic spot, we had some rest and we started our game session. This year we made unique list for all. Frist we started game for children with disabilities. They loved to playing and enjoyed a lot.
Now let's play "BOCCIA." After receiving instructions on how to play this game, children loved it. The competitors were encouraged to compete by members of their families and social circles. It made us feel wonderful to watch them grin. The next game we played one that was created with parents in mind. The game was called "Folding Paper," and the rules were to dance while standing in paper in pairs. The paper would gradually fold until one of the players remained, winning. And we had hanging chocolate game which our children with disabilities enjoy eating chocolate. Next came a game of "pot hitting," where a pot was secured and a stick was given to a person wearing a blindfold. This was played by parents, kids, and staff. The object is to hit the pot with a stick after the victim has been blinded for a few rounds. One of our gorgeous fathers won that match. After our game session, we awarded rewards to each player. We distributed the prize among us. Indeed, the kids seemed to have had a great day based on how well they had utilized their time and how content they were.
This time, in a different location, we had fresh experiences. Abundant in stunning scenery, sacred sites, and natural beauty. Many came here to enjoy their moment, just like us. The tourism industry is housed here. This is a great spot, and our parents, staff, and disabled children love coming here and spending every minute of the picnic.
Thank you all for donating the needy children of Nepal. To conduct good deeds, everyone of us must take one step. Your love and support for them has made all of this possible.
