YOU MADE US PROUD TO BE A PARTNER OF GLOBALGIVING WITH DONATION AMOUNT $13157.56 TILL NOW- GREAT!
Great! You gave more than 200000 Nepalese Rupees last year campaign 2015. This year also we have goal of raising more than 400000 Nepalese rupees. Hope this time also you will help for the most marginalized and deprived group of people in Nepal.
It is our great pleasure that this time we are reporting you about the participation by our children to an important event on 20th November, 2016. Yes, it was Child Rights Day (CRC day). Every year this day is celebrated with great enthusiasm because the rights of children with disabilities are not even mentioned in many sectors and also the violence against the Children with Disabilities (CwDs). This time children from Patan CBR participated in the CRC day organized by Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City (LSMC), a local government body, at its own office premises among 300 children including some guests. The chief guest of the program was the Chief and Executive Officer from the same office. The program was completely for the children and by the children. There was a dance performance from the three children of Patan CBR organization in a popular song. It created a sensation among the children when they performed a dance. Many surprised that these types of intellectually disabled children can also perform dance. Some children even expressed that there exists these types of CwDs in the society.
Soon after finishing the performance various persons expressed their view in their address to the mass. The chief of the Social welfare department, LSMC expressed his view “if given a chance to the children with these types of intellectual disabilities, they can also do the same thing that the normal children do” he also expressed that the work done by Patan CBR is great and difficult and said others to help for the genuine cause. “We will help continuously to Patan CBR during the days to come as we did during the past” he said.
CBR dance teacher, who has been teaching dance to these children expressed that “it is really a difficult task to teach these types of Intellectual Disable Children. They forget everything they have been taught a day before. I have been teaching this item of dance for them for the last 12 months twice a week still they have a lot to do.
Mother of one child who performed the dance expressed that “I felt proud to my daughter to see she is dancing with such a huge mass. I filmed the dance from the beginning to the last. I thank Patan CBR for this training so that my daughter could perform in the mass”
Also, this time 3 groups from medical students of LA Trobe University, Australia visited our centre and took the in-depth knowledge about our work. Altogether 14 students alongwith supervisor professor observed our program
