Easter time

Celebrating Easter in Juterbog
Celebrating Easter in Juterbog

Hello Friends!

We would like to share with you an overview of our organization's activities during the Easter period. This time was filled with events and achievements made possible by your support.

One of the events was the integration activities for Ukrainian refugees titled "East and West Together". The seria of projects took place in four different locations in the capital of Poland: in Warsaw Ukrainian School, Ukrainian Women's Club and others. The action was aimed at giving psychological help through the educational and cultural activities.

More than 200 participants had the opportunity to take part in traditional Japanese games and arts organized in cooperation with the public organization Sun Culture Center. These games provided an excellent platform for interaction and strengthening of friendships among the participants, causing warm and positive emotions.

We would also like to highlight the successful Easter Festival for Ukrainian refugee families in Jüterbog, organized jointly by the Women’s Federation of Ukraine and Germany. During this festival, we arranged various events and workshops that not only allowed families to celebrate Easter but also provided an opportunity to meet fellow compatriots and support one another.

A significant aspect of our activities was supporting the civilian population in Bakhmut City and the 4th City Hospital in Dnipro before Easter. We provided more than 100 hospital patients with the essential items such as water, diapers, socks, underwear, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products.  And we supplied the residents of Bakhmut City with food, medical supplies, a generator, and other necessary items to assist them during challenging times.

Our organization keeps giving targeted aid to IDP families and families who found themselves in difficult life circumstances as a result of the war. For last two months about 60 people and 21 families received financial help, thanks to which they were able to purchase necessary food, baby products, hygiene products, things, medicine and the opportunity to receive medical examination or treatment.

IDPs from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and other regions of Ukraine keep adressing our organization every day. They are describing their tearful stories and asking for help. There is a short story written by the family with two children who escaped from Mariupol City. "We left without the 'green corridor' because of the shelling. We lost our apartment - there was a direct shell. We were only in our clothes because everything in the apartment was burned. We took a cat and a guinea pig - they too belong to our family... Our son, a schoolboy, and the daughter, a student, need clothes, shoes and stationery…”

All this work was possible thanks to your support, our dear friends and partners! We thank you very much and wish you a wonderful summer.
