Dear friends!
We sincerely thank all of you for your help and support and we would like to share about summer stage of our project.
As summer time is students’ vacation period in Ukraine, we could organize different useful activities for children-refugees and keep integration work with families. In June our small beneficiaries could take a course of art workshops from a professional artist, spending exciting time with paints and colors.
In August we had series of charity actions thanks to one of our donors and partners Mrs. Katharina. We chose few families among our beneficiaries and presented financial and in-kind help to them. One of families that we visited was Olena with her small daughter. Olena’s husband went to fight at war, but during short vacation at home he died of heart attack in his bed after big shock he received at war. Another beneficiaries were Anastasia and her daughter – 3-years old Anya who was just born when her dad died at war.
Our long-time friends – families with many children of Sergey and Lubov, Roman and Olga were very happy to receive aid being in sharp need of basic things. Roman and Olga – parents of three children, refugees from Donetsk region, were excited to get a fridge as their old one was broken long time ago.
There is another touching story of our beneficiaries we would like to share with you. We visit this family in a hospital as already for three years they have to stay there. Natalya with her two sons used to live in Gorlovka City, Donetsk region. But in 2013 Natalya's elder son Kiril got sick with bone cancer and they went to Kiev to the National institute of cancer. Kiril went through few courses of chemotherapy and as result got lambs cancer. Natalya keeps fighting for Kiril's life. And at the same time every day she is worrying about her younger son who stays in Gorlovka with grandmother under bombing.
Thank you once again for all help that you are giving to internally displaced families in Ukraine by supporting our project!
