Project Report | Sep 15, 2022
Final report

By JEN | JEN PR

JEN supported the reconstruction under the partnership with the local organizations as Phase I which was an emergency and reconstruction assistance project that began immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, and launched Phase from 2015.

Residents acted as the main implementor, and JEN provided the project consulting, operation, and management support based on its experience as an NGO.

JEN's goal was to support projects that focused on people who were often left behind in the recovery process. We partnered with organizations that are working with these people to help strengthen the empowerment they promote. The activities of each partner organization will continue, but having achieved a certain level of success, the Phase II activities of JEN's Tohoku Project have been completed.

JEN has now initiated the survey of Phase III and is preparing for implementation.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for all of your support that had been given to our activities.
