Under conditions in which the world lives to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, Yemen faces many problems caused by quarantine and the problems caused by the war, as most people live in poor financial conditions and depend on the daily wage to survive because of the war. During the quarantine, these people will be denied access to living expenses and will be deprived of food. The Kamaran Foundation will distribute food and hygiene items to affected families in Yemen.
Yemeni people suffer from poverty, low standard of living and unemployment, and many people depend on the daily wage, as the war led to the interruption of a source of income for a large segment of citizens and their families, and with the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the matter got worse and the reason for this is that they are deprived of basic ingredients such as food and water. This will lead to problems including widespread hunger among affected families and their suffering.
Kdh foundation will assist the affected families by providing them with basic foodstuffs. As for the average family of 7 individuals, foodstuffs will cost approximately $ 50 per month, and hygiene materials, sterilizers, and awareness brochures will also be distributed to families to maintain their safety and to mitigate the spread of the COVID -19 virus.
The spread of the COVID -19 virus affects the affected people more as quarantine leads to their suspension from doing business, interruption of commercial activity and the movement of people, which made it difficult for people to obtain their need for food and led to the concern of many families who depend on daily wages for their inability to obtain appropriate food, which compels them to continue their work and their lack of commitment to quarantine and expose their lives to the risk.
