Many Christian families in Nigeria's central region have fled their homes after violent attacks. They arrive in temporary shelters with little more than what they could carry. This project will bring urgent relief including shelter kits, food, clean water and medical help. Your gift can give a family a safe place to sleep tonight and hope for the days ahead.
Families are arriving at displacement sites after seeing their villages attacked. Homes were burned, fields destroyed, and people killed. Many arrive without shelter, clean water, or enough food. Mothers worry for their children's safety and wellbeing. Without clear relief efforts these households remain trapped in fear and uncertainty.
We will deliver relief kits to Christian families displaced by violence. Each kit will include a waterproof shelter sheet, a family food pack, water purification items and basic medicine. We will partner with local church volunteers who know the terrain and can reach newly displaced families in camp-settings or remote locations.
With timely relief, families will have a firmer footing to rebuild their lives. Children will sleep under safer shelter, and families will have a base from which to start fresh. With continued support, the relief will reduce the trauma that comes from displacement and offer a measure of stability in a time of upheaval.
