Today, more than 122 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes. Many refugees face: deportation to unsafe countries detention in migration systems lack of legal pathways to protection Amnesty International receives urgent protection requests each year from individuals and families whose lives are in immediate danger. Without emergency support, many people remain trapped in unsafe conditions.
This project helps protect refugees whose lives are at risk. Prove: Amnesty documents 4 refugee protection cases, collecting testimonies and verifying legal risks. Prosecute: We challenge unlawful deportations and pressure governments to respect their obligations to protect refugees. Protect: Through emergency support and community sponsorship, we will help relocate 2 refugee families and assist 2 individuals, providing housing, legal protection and integration support.
Community sponsorship creates long-term protection for refugees at risk. Through partnerships, more than 1 million refugees worldwide have rebuilt their lives through community sponsorship. This project helps expand those safe pathways by documenting 4 refugee protection cases, relocating 2 refugee families, and providing emergency support to 2 individuals, including legal assistance, housing, and integration support in host communities.
