Hence ROC is planning to provide 20 solar panels, 20 electric vans and 50 long lasting insecticide bed nets to 20 displaced families from the most vulnerable destitute families living in spontaneous IDP gatherings to alleviate their sufferings and protect them and their children from heat waves and the widespread malaria in the region that will have a positive impact on the health of the children
The prolonged ongoing armed conflict in Yemen led to displacement of many families from their residential areas leaving all their properties behind looking for security and safety in the less conflict areas. The displaced families lost their livelihoods and became reliant on humanitarian aid which are insufficient for survival. Hence, ROC selected 20 of the displaced families with children who are the most vulnerable in order to protect them from the heat waves and widespread malaria in the area.
This small project will extensively assist these families in protecting their family members specially the children from the heat waves and widespread malaria in the region in the area in the short run and enable the HHs live in reasonable shelters that protect them from the infectious diseases and heat waves that will keep their family member in healthy situation.
The provision of the solar panels, long lasting insecticide bed nets and the electrical fans that will be supplied to these destitute families will have a great impact on the health of their children from the malaria and heat waves that are normally existent in the Hodeidah Governorate and will recover hope and confidence in their lives. ROC will endeavor to continuously provide the most vulnerable families and the least advantaged with similar assistance through expansion of donation campaigns.
