The torrential rains in the governorate of Rayma have caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, leaving behind a devastation. Most of the drinking water sources were washed away / buried. People suffer heavy losses. Now struggling to survive, the project aims to save 3,000 lives from disease and death through the immediate provision of drinking water and the rehabilitation of clean water sources.
While Yemen suffers the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, recent torrents have destroyed many villages on the mountains in Raymah, resulting in the death of 31 people, 168 houses completely destroyed, and more than 1000 partially destroyed, and more than 100 sources of drinking water, pedestrian and car roads are buried. Residents now struggle to access clean drinking water, and the majority are forced to drink unclean water that exposes them to deadly diseases such as cholera ... etc.
The project seeks to provide drinking water immediately in the villages most affected by the floods within a period of two months, in addition to rehabilitating the damaged drinking water sources and facilitating the residents' access to them.
This project will save the lives of hundreds of families. People are now struggling for their lives. Many have lost their homes and properties and lost sources of drinking water.
