Thanks to all our supporters, we were able to attend to and provide life-saving treatment, surgery, and care to 5,148 animals from January to April this year. These animals were in desperate need of our help, and we are so grateful that with your help we can continue to be a lifeline for animals.
The Challenges of India’s Puppy Season
We have just come through India’s peak puppy season, which has kept us incredibly busy rescuing a large number of sick, orphaned, and injured puppies. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to save these vulnerable animals, managing demanding feeding schedules for very young puppies and providing intensive medical treatments to help them fight off viral diseases like distemper and hepatitis.
Ongoing Renovations for Our Large Kennel Block
We are excited to share some photos of the ongoing refurbishment of our largest rescue kennel block to prevent future flooding during the monsoon season. In recent years, the worsening monsoon rains have forced us to relocate sick and injured dogs from this block due to flooding.
As you can imagine, raising the kennel building by two feet involves significant work and also logistical challenges for us. So, we are taking the opportunity to enhance the layout to allow for more natural light and better outdoor access. We know that our staff will be overjoyed when the work is finished, and we have it on good authority that the dogs will be delighted too!
Thank you for helping us to reach so many animals and make such a difference to their lives.
