Summary

Our Dog Rescue Center works hard to provide shelter, food, medical care, vaccines and spay/neuter operations to 200 dogs in Santa Rosalia, Mexico. We cannot do it without your help, stray dogs roam the streets and the number will continue to increase unless we change the trend by providing veterinary care, promoting adoption and increasing education on the treatment of animals. We will improve the health and safety of the community by improving the health and well-being of stray dogs.

Challenge

We have a rescue center and we strive to care for them, feed them, provide veterinary care, It is common to see a dead puppy on the side of the road abandoned there, ownerless and alone. Unwanted puppies are abandoned at the landfill in garbage bags. Others suffer from illness and hunger. We strive to vaccinate and spay/neuter local dogs to reduce their health problems and improve the health of the community

Solution

The Dog Rescue Center provides food, water, shelter, and medical care including vaccinations and neuter/spay operations for rescue dogs in Santa Rosalia. We find loving adoptive families for our dogs and we have launched an extensive education program to shift the local mindset about stray dogs to work together as a community to solve this challenge. Through adoption, education, and veterinary care, we can reduce the number of left dogs and improve the overall welfare of dogs and residents.

Long-Term Impact

By providing shelter in our center, adequate food and medical care to abandoned dogs, and working hard on community education, we managed to reduce the growing number of dogs on the streets. The health of the community will improve and the treatment of dogs will be more humane and compassionate, which is why we need your support to address this problem to change the trajectory towards a healthy and prosperous community.
