Mickaboo is hosting a mini-adoption fair and bird toy-making event - and you're invited! The event will be in Palo Alto, California on Saturday, June 28. Please RSVP here - space is limited.
Your support helps birds like Ollin, a friendly green-cheek conure. Ollin’s life before Mickaboo is a mystery. We do not know where Ollin spent the first years of his life, or how he ended up on the street. We do know someone brought him to an animal rescue with an injured wing after a cat attack. Since the animal rescue specialized in treating wild animals and not pet birds, they contacted Mickaboo. Ollin's wing injury turned out to be serious - his wing was broken in two places.
Since becoming a Mickaboo flockmember, Ollin’s life has become more secure. He received veterinary care for his wing. He is thriving in the caring environment of his foster home, where he is the perfect gentleman. He is sweet and adores company. He enjoys head scritches and can do step-ups. He is also adjusting well to his healthy diet. Although he may not be able to fly anymore, we believe he will enjoy all the things that conures love, sans the flying. With his friendly nature, Ollin is ready to become part of his forever family.
Helping lost and injured birds like Ollin is central to Mickaboo’s mission. Ollin and all our birds benefit greatly from your generosity. If you are in the Palo Alto area, we hope to see you soon!
