Rescue Unwanted and Abandoned Companion Birds

Thanks to your support this year, Mickaboo has welcomed 200+ birds to its foster care program and adopted out almost 200 to permanent homes. As we gather with family and friends this week to celebrate all that we are thankful for, I want you to know that all of us at Mickaboo are especially grateful for YOU. 

Whether you volunteer with us, support us financially, or cheer from the sidelines, YOU help us to care for these marvelous feathered creatures, making a difference both for them and their past, present, and future guardians.

We hope to see you at our Annual Holiday Party and Funraiser (Walnut Creek, December 6) as we celebrate the year’s achievements and re-energize the organization for 2015.  The event will feature:

• A delicious buffet
• The company of your fellow volunteers and bird lovers - priceless!
• Holiday shopping - silent auction and raffle items collected SO FAR include gift certificates from most of our avian vets, sports items (ex: SaberCats and Sharks items), tickets to local attractions (private guided tour to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, passes to the California Academy of Sciences, Sacramento and Oakland Zoos, etc.), custom jewelry... and on and on.
• Art for the Birds and Scott Shipley will be present with their artwork! You've seen them on Facebook - oooh and aaah about their creations in person!  (Scott donated one of his award-winning works for silent auction - in progress now!) 
• Clothing Drive - our first ever at the holiday party.  Curate your closet, create room for new stuff, get a tax deduction, and help Mickaboo at the same time!
