Ongoing conflict between military factions in Sudan has plunged millions of people into crisis - both in Sudan and the wider region. Repeated ceasefire agreements have failed, the fighting is impacting every aspect of daily life in Sudan, and thousands of people are fleeing the country to find safety in neighboring countries. Relief International teams are providing emergency relief but can only do so with your help.
The immediate and long-term needs for people in Sudan are immense. Food and fuel prices have soared by over 100%, essential amenities like banks and schools have shut down, 60% of all hospitals are non-functional, and over 1.4 million people have been forced to leave their homes. Also, thousands of people have fled the country to neighbors like Chad and South Sudan; the majority are women and children in need of urgent care and shelter.
Relief International staff are already on the ground providing vital services in Sudan and South Sudan, and are preparing new operations in Chad. In Sudan, our healthcare teams continue to provide essential healthcare at our network of 29 facilities in North Darfur and Blue Nile. In South Sudan, our mobile medical teams are providing emergency medical services to people crossing the border seeking refuge. And in Chad, we are working to deploy our teams to the new refugee camps being set up.
