Women constitute 50% of LRBT’s patients. Many walk into LRBT facilities suffering from various eye ailments which cause hindrance in them going about their daily lives as mothers, home makers and professionals. Your donations help us give them a chance to lead normal lives by saving them from curable blindness.
This is the story of cheerful Kulsoom- her father describes her as the light of his life and his ultimate confidant. Kulsoom managed to finish her matriculation despite adverse financial situations and helps her father run his corn cart. When her eye sight started to degenerate rapidly she completely changed as a person, she would talk less and her mental health started to get severely affected. Upon seeing his daughter in so much distress her father took her to a nearby clinic where she was diagnosed with cataract. The operation amount at the private clinic was exorbitant. When Kulsoom mentioned to the doctor that they couldn’t afford the operation, he referred them to LRBT Hospital.
Kulsoom’s eyes were operated upon free of cost at the LRBT and with her eyesight returned so did her zest for life! She is excited to explore more possibilities to help her father expand his business!
