Final Project Report
Project Summary
This project aimed to restore degraded forests and wetlands across Sri Lanka by planting 15,000 agroforestry trees and 100,000 mangroves to reduce soil erosion, enhance biodiversity, and strengthen climate resilience. Through the establishment of five mangrove nurseries and the restoration of 100 acres of wetlands, we worked toward improving coastal protection and water retention. Over 500 local volunteers actively participated in the initiative, demonstrating strong community commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.
Reason for Deactivation
We are deactivating this project on GlobalGiving as part of our effort to streamline and focus our limited resources on a smaller number of high-impact initiatives. This decision will help us enhance efficiency, ensure better resource management, and sustain long-term impact through our active projects.
