This campaign will help marginalized inpatients at Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR) access essential rehabilitation services they cannot afford. As a specialized national healthcare and rehabilitation provider operating at full capacity during increasingly challenging times in the West Bank, BASR urgently seeks support to ensure financial crisis does not prevent vulnerable patients from receiving timely, quality care and continuing their path toward recovery and independence.
Palestinians face growing barriers to essential healthcare due to economic hardship, movement restrictions, pressure on the health sector, and increasing healthcare needs. Specialized rehabilitation is often not covered by the Palestinian governmental health insurance, leaving vulnerable patients unable to afford critical services. BASR is increasingly treating patients who require essential and urgent interventions but have limited alternatives and cannot access or afford the care they need.
Through this campaign, BASR will provide financial assistance to vulnerable inpatients who cannot afford essential rehabilitation services. Support will help patients access timely, specialized, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, including those who acquired disabilities through recent injuries. It will also strengthen BASR's capacity to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services under one roof, regardless of patients' ability to pay.
