Thank you for asking about ‘what is the latest news about the children’ in the name of our fabulous “Mercy Klong Toey family MC Bangkok” for those of you who so worry about our glorious children, and the menacing nature of Covid 19. We are safe, healthy & happy. True, our kindergartens are closed for the month of January but the Government asks us to feed our 2,000 kindergarten slum kids in our 22 slum schools/kitchens & we feed them well. All of them are gaining weight and growing quickly (as they are supposed to do.) We clean & clean, & wear masks & wash & wash & employ our 300 elderly folks in the slum kitchens to cook & wash the pots & pans & go to the fresh market, and IF food is left over, take it home, so nothing is wasted. I repeat nothing is wasted. I sincerely wish all of you could come and help cook food for our kids.
We are Blessed over & over. Yes, certain parts of the large Klong Toey area are on ‘lock down’ but we are clean and in the green area & work hard every day to keep it that way. Our 160 teachers come look after the children teach day to the various kindergartens. IF a teacher is sick for the day…. We ask her mother (really) to come in her place. And this works quite well also.
Enough for now. We miss you all. Come when quarantine is over. Really. In the mean- time, please do trust us, we carry on the best we can, & we know you can be proud of us, & the children are happy. We will keep you up to date as often as we can.
