Rice for malnourished slum kindergartners

As we approach the joyous festive season, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your steadfast support for the children at the Mercy Centre. The generous contributions from GlobalGiving and all our donors have played a pivotal role in the success of the rice project, impacting over 2,000 children with 10,000 nutritious meals each this year. Your dedication has truly made a profound difference in the lives of these children, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering commitment to fostering positive change. As the year ends, I am excited to share some uplifting news and milestones with you, showcasing the positive impact of your enduring support.

Years of Celebration:

This year has been filled with joyous celebrations and milestones, highlighting the incredible dedication of the Mercy Centre. We celebrated its 50th Anniversary, marking five decades of standing with the poor, supporting children, and providing education to the community.

Year of Success:

Education has been at the forefront of our efforts, aiming to provide children with dignity and self-esteem. Here are some of the successes we've achieved:

• Nearly 1,000 preschoolers graduated from kindergarten, seamlessly transitioning to primary school. They've learned fundamental skills, including reading and writing, setting a strong foundation for their educational journey.
• Many children are now attending primary and secondary school, envisioning clear paths for their future careers.
• 15 children under the Mercy Centre Program, both in Bangkok and Ranong Province, graduated from high vocational schools and universities, securing good jobs and gaining independence.
• The Women's Group empowered 1000 people in the community, initiating programs for saving money and starting small businesses.
• Our Community Health Development Centre organized workshops for Covid-19 and HIV/AIDS protection, reaching out to 1600 and 200 people, respectively.

In addition, we welcomed almost 2,000 visitors and donors this year, allowing them to experience the Mercy Centre firsthand. Through volunteering and various activities, they showcased their capacity to contribute and make a difference in the lives of the children.

As we express our gratitude, we want to emphasize that our commitment to helping and supporting people stands firm. Our focus remains on enabling individuals to stand on their own, promoting sustainability, and transforming lives.
