Dear Colleagues and Partners,
Compliments of the new season!
Some of you might have heard that Zimbabwe has a new president and is enjoying a new era. Yes it's true, we have a new president but as you might all know there are no quick fixes to economic development. We remain seized with the our challenges and we keep hoping for change especially on the education front for us. Meanwhile Chiedza Child Care Centre will continue to support the out of school children through your support.
I am glad to update you that of the 25 children who were reintegrated into school last year, all of them were retained without dropping out. 4 of the 25 sat for their Grade 7 public exams and all of them passed and are transitioning to secondary school starting the 9th of January 2018 when the school opens. More children felt encouraged to do better and this year 2018, 37 children from the out of school study group are ready to be enrolled into formal schools and start their educational journey with their peers.
We are thankful to all your support throughout 2017 and also your festive season donations makes this all possible. I kindly ask you to keep sharing our cause with your friends and relatives. You know how best to tell them. We need the funds for buying books, school bags, food, paying school fees, furniture and uniforms.
Wishing you a prosperous 2018!
