Dear Friends and partners,
Hoping to find you safe and protected as the 4th wave of the covid 19 is looming. We have had a tough time with lockdowns affecting school attendance for children. It was double trouble for children who are out of school to find themselves out of school again because of the lockdowns. However, during the lockdown we managed to utilise the time to construct 2 more classrooms to add to the existing 4. This helped to ensure continued learning for all children when the schools re-opened as we were able to follow WHO guidelines on covid 19 prevention. In addition, the additional blocks improved our capacity to enrol more children as more and more children were likely to drop out of school due to the impact of covid 19. The 4 classrooms were able to accomodate 170 children but with the additional classrooms, an additional 30 learners will be accomodated.
We still need support to buy furniture for the classrooms, books, stipends for teachers, food, and stationery. Kindly share our cause with your friends and networks especially this season so that more and more children out of school can be supported.
