Dear Friend of Chiedza,
Over the years you have been part of this dream #Be The Light! We do not take it for granted that's why we keep sharing updates so that you can see how much your contribution is making. We are a learning organisation and we have learnt that beyond the classroom, the children and young people need skills to survive the harsh economic environment in the world.
We have started with baby steps but we are happy with those little steps. This year, we have started a tailoring program for young people especially girls. We have started in April with 15 young people. The young people are excited and we have enrolled a second class of 25 again. We believe with this skill they are able to change their lives and make an impact. Some learners who are not academically gifted are even taking the skills route earlier instead of pursuing a full academic cycle.
With this new program, we need more support to buy sewing machines, cutting tables, accessories, chairs, desks and cloth materials. Kindly share the word with your family and networks to keep our program of second chance to education going.
We will keep you posted as the program grows and reaching more children.
