Dear Friends and Partners,
My name is Linny Chinye*. Aged 13 and reside in Mbare Matapi hostels. I come from an impoverished family that is struggling to provide basic needs for me. Due to financial constraints I dropped out of school in 2015 as my family could not afford to pay for my school fees. I spent nearly a year not attending school and I lagged behind and felt lost. Life was tough for me to see my peers going to whilst I spent the day home idle.
In January 2016, Chiedza’s community care worker came to my rescue and advised my family to seek assistance at Chiedza. In February 2016 I joined Chiedza’s OSSG (Out of School Study Group) class and started at a lower level. Currently I am doing level one (grade 1 up to 3) and this has been a great experience for me. I am catching up from much I had lost. I believe with Chiedza’s support one day I am going to be re-integrated into formal school and fulfil my dream to become a banker. Chiedza is giving me a lot of support and I am grateful. Ever since I became part of Chiedza’s family my life have transformed and it’s getting better day by day.
“Thank you Chiedza you brought light into my life.”
Thank you for your continued support. Kindly continue to share our story with your family and friends so that we can continue to support more children like Linny. We need money for stationery, school bags, furniture, volunteer teacher stipends, school fees, food and sporting equipment.

With gratitude
