GBRC proudly partnered with the Thanksgiving Miracle - Feed 10,000 initiative, bringing together multiple organizations and volunteers to provide warm meals and hope to thousands in need. This act of kindness and collective effort reinforced our mission of fostering resilience through compassion and service.

Knowledge Matters: HIV Awareness Seminar (December 2, 2024)
In collaboration with the HIV Survivors Benefit Grand Bahama, GBRC hosted an HIV awareness seminar aimed at educating the public on prevention, treatment, and the importance of testing. With a focus on the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets for 2030, we emphasized that HIV is a manageable condition and provided support for those affected.

Knitting & Crochet Christmas Closeout Party (December 11, 2024)
We celebrated the bonds and creativity formed throughout the year within our Knitting & Crochet group. This festive gathering honored the friendships and skills developed in our program, with an open invitation for new members to join in 2025.

Hands for Hunger Partnership (December 2024)
In partnership with Hands for Hunger, GBRC distributed 75 food boxes to families from West End to Sweetings Cay, demonstrating the power of collaboration in addressing food insecurity and strengthening community resilience.

A highly successful event focused on self-love and empowerment, featuring engaging discussions led by panelists on self-awareness, self-respect, and personal growth. Hosted by P’Jay Roberts, this event created an uplifting atmosphere for community members to connect and reflect.

Mental Health Awareness at Jack Hayward Senior High (February 21, 2025)

Milestones and Expansions

Grand Opening of the Expanded Grand Bahama Resilience Center (March 1, 2025)
A major milestone for GBRC, this expansion was made possible by generous support from the TX Foundation, Grand Bahama Port Authority, and various corporate sponsors. With performances by Sunland Baptist Academy and Urban Renewal Choir, and contributions from Rotaract and Vessels of Purpose Elite, this event celebrated the collective spirit of our community.

Conclusion This quarter has been a testament to the resilience, generosity, and commitment of our community. Through education, empowerment, and direct support, GBRC continues to make a meaningful impact. We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners, volunteers, and supporters for making these initiatives possible.

Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient Grand Bahama. Thank you for being part of our journey!
