The Reading Literacy Learning Center, Inc. provides caring and loving childcare for infants and toddlers in a safe and secure environment located in Washington DC, where there is a major shortage of quality seats and advanced educational programs that parents can enroll their children in. Our sessions are designed for infants and toddlers to be well prepared for their transition into elementary school. After school students are empowered to build positive lives for themselves.
Finding affordable child care for infants and toddlers is an enormous challenge for working parents that live in the District of Columbia. Child Development Centers that offer a wide range of educational and character building activities are difficult to locate as well. Research conducted by the Reinvestment Fund in their 2018 "Early Learning Supply and Demand" Report revealed that in the District of Columbia the gap between formal seats and maximum demand of 28,257.
The RLLC Program will provide a significant amount of child care seats for parents to place their children. Once these seats are made available and filled, a reduction in the students without designated placement in the District of Columbia will be realized. Our primary objectives focuses on enhancing student's reading skills and providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students. The center's atmosphere also builds self-esteem and a desire to learn for our out-of-school time students.
RLLC presents its Infants and toddlers with a loving and caring atmosphere where the teachers and caregivers are dedicated to providing all necessary services. Our after school programs provide our students with an educational program that trains students to become high achievers. Students are presented with strategies that will teach them how to create wealth, and leave a positive legacy. After school students are exposed to intense reading instruction which exposes them to multiple cultures.
