The journey it takes to understand the importance of loving yourself and taking care of yourself, after experiencing abuse of any kind can be a hard one. We want to create care packages that will assist young ladies with their journey of self-care.
Youth who experience abuse of any kind rather it's sexual, verbal or physical, may struggle with self-care and healing. This causes them to act out, become withdrawn, build hate, low self-esteem and so many more things that can hinder their growth and mental health. Girls who have experienced abuse will benefit from this kind of solution.
These packages will be created to assist girls who have been abused. The packages will include things that will increase their good mental health and learn skills and tools that can be used to maintain self-care practices. They will include affirmations, hygiene products, healthy snacks, and access to workshop on abuse prevention, and self-care.
This project will provide resources to 50 girls in the community. It will also support youth who have experienced abuse such as sexual, verbal or physical. It will provide mental health awareness and increase well-bring sustainability.
