Road to University provides free educational support young people living in small, remote settlements in Bulgaria, with limited development opportunities and from families with low social status. The project provides access to free courses on subjects with which the students can apply for higher education institutions and university enrollment. With your support, we can give more young people the opportunity for educational and professional development and chance for better future!
The settlements in which the educational courses take place are small towns located at the foot of the Rhodope Mountains. The area itself is marginalized and far away from the capital and the large regional cities. Trends in recent years have a strong negative impact on the local population and their socio-economic status. The ones most affected by those negative trends are young people and their personal, educational and professional development.
A key solution to the existing challenges is the implementation of free additional courses for young people in Bulgarian Language and Literature, History and Civilization, Chemistry and Environmental Protection, Biology and Health Education, English and Mathematics, in the form of lectures and tests, thus preparing young people for their university entrance exams, and improving their opportunities of subsequent personal, educational and career self-fulfilment.
Students will acquire additional knowledge which they will apply at the Baccalaureate and university entrance exams. This will ensure their success and admission to higher education institutions, thus broadening their horizon, career prospects and significantly improving their lifestyle in the future.
